Editing WikiMedia
Examples of wikis that are hosted by mediawiki include Citizendium, Ganfyd, Medpedia, Scholarpedia, Wicktionary, Wikipedia, wiserwiki.
Before starting
- Register to use Wikipedia and/or Citizendium
- Prepare your browser for easier editting and reading
- Install the UTHDSCSA citation maker bookmarklet on your browser
- Install Navigation_popups on your profile. This is a very nice feature for registered users any Mediawiki product.
- If you use FireFox as your browser
- install WikEd interface by:
- Install Greasemonkey
- Install WikEd to make your editting interface easier to use.
- Consider installing Zotero which helps format citations directly from journal websites if you have citations that are too new to be indexed by PubMed
