The course is for students who want to master information and evidence. We will use the computer lab to learn advanced skills in: 1) retrieving information, 2) storing and filing information, 3) keeping up with new advances. In addition, we will learn what can you do in your clinic or hospital to improve the implementation of evidence. We will complete two projects in order to learn these skills. The skills will include both strategies and techniques.
This course is directed by Bob Badgett and is taught by Bob Badgett, Eric Mortensen, Jim Legler, Bill Beer.
Before the selective, each student should identify one clinical topic that they want to use as their example for learning how to master information. Also, be willing to share with the class your own favorite discovery in information management; for example, a new website, PDA program, or strategy.
