Methods - Gathering the pool
1. Defined inclusion criteria to include valid physical diagnosis studies in a gold standard pool.
2. Using the criteria, located studies from the following sources:
- MEDLINE search of 32 journals for the year 1995.
- The Schneiderman Bedside Diagnosis bibliography.
- The JAMA Rational Clinical Exam series.
